Website of Iranfisheries.net (Shilat.com) is official website of Iran Fisheries Organization which is to supply general and specialized information to Managers, Marketers, Fishery Experts, University Students and ordinary citizens about fisheries activities. First layout of the website in static model was designed 4 years ago. But in beginning of 1383 (March 2004), informing the society with the help of this website as a media started with more enthusiasm and seriousness. New website design is according re-defining of structure, mission and applied capabilities and better efficiency which started to work with Farsi version from October 2004.

1 - Search and retrieve ability
For better access to items of the website, visitors can search the whole website and each section with their search string (in news, views & articles and market news pages they can even define a time bracket for their search as advanced search option). This will facilitate filtering of the whole website and each section with selected words or terms. The result page will help visitor to decide whether he/she wants to see further information sorted in news sections or views and articles. In addition, in result page(s) the exact time of data entry will be shown at the end of each item.
2 - Forum
Since our organization is the sole government authority responsible for policy making, planning and development of fishing, aquaculture and processing in fisheries related activities at national level, our website has established four forums to facilitate interaction among public sector managers, technical experts and private sector fisheries in order to answer the questions raised in the industry by Farmers, Fishers and Processors with technical and responsible answers.
People can type their questions in each of the 4 Forums (General, Fishing, Aquaculture and Processing), then as soon as possible the technical answers prepared by different departments of Shilat (Iran Fisheries Organization) will be seen on the Forums.
3 - Polling
In order to facilitate more interaction between Shilat Managers and visitors of the website and better information dissemination, the polling section has been established in this website. In this regard, at different occasions by asking questions about the website and its characteristics or other fisheries related topics, the website will get the opinion of visitors to correct it or send the results to related managements of Shilat for further considerations.
The visitors are able to see the results after answering the requested questions.

An especial counter inside each page of news, views & articles or Market news show the number of people who has visited this page.
